Madrid, Retiro Park – Rafael Nadal!

On Tuesday September 25th the landmark outdoor photo exhibition “Wild Wonders of Europe” opened at El Buen Retiro Park in central Madrid, Spain. Mr Federico Ramos de Armas, Secretary of State for the Environment, at the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, inaugurated the exhibition alongside the Spanish sporting celebrity, Rafael Nadal, founding sponsor of the Fundación Rafa Nadal and Goodwill Ambassador of the United Postcode Lotteries.

The open air event, attended by dignitaries and leaders from the corporate, academic, diplomatic and conservation world, was staged alongside the life-size images showcasing Europe’s rich natural heritage in all it’s glory.

Quote Rafael Nadal: “I’m sincerely grateful to be invited to join this wonderful initiative, and also to the United Postcode Lotteries for the great support that they are giving both to Wild Wonders of Europe to bring this exhibition to Madrid and to our Rafa Nadal Foundation which works to help socially deprived kids and teenagers. Nature is also vitally important for the future of the children that we work with.”

The exhibition remains on display alongside the park’s beautiful rose garden until 15 December 2012 with free entry all day.
